On Steve’s visit to Spain Luis Vallejo’s garden was a highlight. Luis has one of the best Bonsai Museums outside of Japan. Situated in the north of Madrid there are imported trees from Japan as well as local species. Built in 1995 it is within the Arroyo de la Vega park with its Japanese garden and pagoda.
There are over 300 trees on display from Luis’ private collection and 58 from the City Council. . The trees are among Europe’s best, with incredible quality and range set in a beautiful garden with a distinctive design and Japanese influences. The trees have won awards both in Europe and internationally.
Luis Vallejo runs a workshop, school and sells Bonsai at the garden.
