The Bimer Bonsai Show was help at the Mt Cootha we had 585 visitors over the weekend. Our raffle of the cascade juniper drew in 500+ entries. Overall, a successful weekend.
Having young kids we had a kid’s corner at the show. There were plenty of bonsai pictures for them to colour in and it seemed to be a hit. A young boy drag his dad away from the display so he could do some colouring in.
Below there is a list of the trees that won an award. There are three areas, People’s, Judge’s and President’s choice. These are not meant to be considered a competition but a recognition of the hard work put in by fellow members. The common things between the trees chosen are the high quality of presentation and refinement. Thanks to all members who displayed a tree.
