The deciduous trees should be popping buds and leafing out by now. Trees that are actively growing can be fertilised – otherwise if the tree is dormant the food is not taken up. Have a think about removing some branches now before the sap starts flowing full force. Evergreens can be fertilised and treated as normal at this time of year. Figs are still growing and some will have no skipped a beat. Try and get on top of weeds before they take hold. Any repotting being done should be protected from the warmer day’s sun.
